Welcome to my new online home, and thank you for stopping by.

Believe it or not, this site has been years in the making & it has taken on several different mutations, templates and approaches.

Sometimes, when you work on your own personal projects, you take on the traits of quite possibly the worst client in the world. One minute you want to take one approach, and then the next you decide, actually, “I really want to try this new tech”, and you start from scratch all over again.

If you are not careful in these situations you can end up developing your very own piece of vaporware, and you start realising the pain 3D Realms went through developing Duke Nukem Forever.

You see, when it is personal, you want what you put out into the public domain to be a representation of what you think is great and that follows your “ideals” – thus setting, what could be unattainable goals.

There is no doubt that the team at 3D Realms really wanted to release the game, but their pride and personal ownership of their Intellectual Property’s reputation, as well as their own, meant they continuously set themselves ever moving goals to fall in line with industry expectations and developments.

I fell into this trap, and the irony is not lost on me, as someone who spends a majority of their waking hours in the agile mindset, focused on iterative delivery and results that are accommodating to change.

However, we are finally here, and after focusing purely on just getting something out to the public domain, the results are what you see here.

On this blog, the content will likely be focused on the things that I feel contributes to a global discussion based on my interests, or maybe just random musings of someone who loves technology & gadgets.

Either way, I hope the content draws you enough to want to read more & I will endeavour to continue to accommodate your interest.

Signing off, until next time…
